I wrote this song at Killenure Castle with Roger and we finished it on the spot. It was inspired by the Berlin Wall coming down and the fall of Communism. At the same time John Prine wrote a song called ‘Dancing on the Wall’ so we got together; Jessica and myself, John and Fiona and flew to Berlin to sing our songs to Berliners but the only person we could find was a Turkish guy called Matmoud who had a bar next to our hotel!
